Cáncer cervicouterino. Nivel de conocimiento en mujeres del Policlínico Universitario “Emilio Daudinot Bueno” de Guantánamo

A study was carried out in the "Emilio Daudinot Bueno" University Polyclinic in women from the Basic Working Group No. 1 that the cytology test was not performed in 2011 with the aim of identifying some sociodemographic variables and level of knowledge about Cervical cancer. The universe consists of a total of 950 women from this basic group, from which a sample of 285 (30%) is chosen. It was found that the most frequent age group was 35-39 years, predominantly women workers with pre-university education. The first intercourse between 15-20 years, the first birth occurred in over 20 years. Among the risk factors most associated with cancer were untreated benign entities. 52.6% do not know the importance of speculum examination. It was evident the insufficient knowledge of the risk factors, the results of the work allowed conclusions to be drawn.Se realiza un estudio en el Policlínico Universitario "Dr. Emilio Daudinot Bueno" en mujeres del Grupo Básico de Trabajo No. 1 que no se realizan la prueba citológica en el año 2011 con el objetivo de identificar algunas variables sociodemográficas y de nivel de conocimiento sobre cáncer cervicouterino. El universo está constituido por un total 950 de mujeres de dicho grupo básico, del que se escoge una muestra de 285 (30 %). Se encontró que el grupo etario más frecuente fue de 35-39 años, predominan las trabajadoras con escolaridad preuniversitario. Las primeras relaciones sexuales entre 15-20 años, el primer parto se produjo en mayores de 20 años. Entre los factores de riesgo más asociados al cáncer fueron las entidades benignas no tratadas. El 52.6 % desconoce la importancia del examen con espéculo. Fue evidente el insuficiente conocimiento de los factores de riesgo, los resultados del trabajo permitieron que se llegaran a conclusiones.
